Scouting 543 Plowville is all about exciting adventures and community service. Join us as we explore the great outdoors and make a positive impact on the world around us.

Bike ride along the C & O Towpath
Starting in Cumberland, MD, and riding all the way to Washington, DC. 185 miles of biking in 5 days! We camped along the way and enjoyed the outdoors. We took a day off from riding and did tree canopy zip lining and tubing in Harper’s Ferry! Lots of fun, good food, swimming in the river, and just having a great time.

Cabin Camping
Camping is always a fun experience, but when you add in snowball fights and ice fishing, the adventure reaches a whole new level. Embrace the thrill of winter camping as you gather around the fire, swapping stories and enjoying the crisp, fresh air. Snowball fights get everyone running around, while ice fishing offers a unique challenge and the chance to catch your next meal. So grab your gear and get ready for an unforgettable outdoor experience!

Canoe Trip
We paddled the north branch of the Susquehanna River, covering a total of 60 miles, and stopping along the way at small towns, islands, and historic places. The scouts packed and carried their own gear and food for the week long trip.

Camping at Cape Henlopen State Park
One last weekend away before school started. Camping in a shady spot within the trees, so the hammocks got some use! Took a bike ride to Rehoboth Beach, played in the ocean, watched the sun rise, had a competition mini golf tournament followed by ice cream, visited the Air Mobility Command Museum, and just had a great time!!
